Ras El Hanout

Ras el Hanout is often translated as "top of the shop," and refers to a tradition of shopkeepers mixing their own proprietary spice blends, which could include anywhere from 10 to 100 ingredients.

This particular Ras El Hanout incorporates uncompromisingly sourced dried chiles and sea salt, along with an intriguing mix of ground spices, including such exotic flavors as galangal and fenugreek. This orangey-brown seasoning offers an addictive balance of robust savory spiciness, salt and exotic fragrance. It is extremely versatile, adding a deep golden color and an aromatic and enticing flavor to a variety of roasted meats, vegetables, soups, stews and salads, as well as the traditional Moroccan couscous and tagines.
