The soft inner layer is made of silicone, absorbing any shock to keep the phone safe from bumps and drops, while the rigid outer layer is made of polished plastic with a finish that prevents the print from being scratched. The two layers can be separated, making it easier to install and remove the casing. The image is permanently printed on the back and sides of the case.
