Natural, hand braided rug from?traditional?rush weavers, Rush Matters.

Felicity Irons and her?family each summer harvesting English freshwater bulrush by hand from the banks of the Great River Ouse, Nene, and River Ivel surrounding Bedfordshire, England which are then hand woven into beautiful rush rugs, tableware, baskets, and hats.

The cut rush is?sun dried before being?hand plaited and sewn together into large mats?using jute twine. Prolonged sun gently bleaches the?rush to a warm honey tone while windy weather during the drying process produces more vivid blue and green hues.
