Dr. Pepper was invented by pharmacist Charles Alderton in 1891 for the Old Corner Drug Store owned by Wade Morrison where he worked. Inspired by the aroma of soda fountain mixed with scent of fruits, the soda which touts 23 flavors became an instant hit and later on was named Dr. Pepper.
This nostalgic soda still uses pure?cane sugar!
