Wenge Scales

Knife scales. Set of two matched knife handle scales to make one knife handle. Each scale measures 3/8" x 2" x 5".

Wenge is a dark brown wood that comes from Central Africa. It can develop a reddish hue and has deep brown-black streaks when finished. It has a very coarse, straight grain. Some people use Wenge as a substitute for ebony for its strength and density.

These scales have been cut on a band saw and have not been sanded. A rough exterior is not considered a defect. The picture is a typical representation. Your scales will be chosen at random and may differ from the image shown.
