Stabilization?refers to impregnating soft wood with resin, creating wood that is no longer weak.?The scales in the picture have been sanded to show the figuring. Some colour variability is to be expected - this is because different blanks have different densities that will affect how the wood absorbs resin.?We do not offer refunds for colour variability within the blank or other small internal imperfections.

These scales have been cut on a band saw and have not been sanded. A rough exterior is not considered a defect.
