Insul-Cast is the ideal insulating castable refractory solution for ovens and behind other high temp fireboxes or firebrick applications. This product typically goes behind the firebox to provide an insulating effect so that heat can be better refracted back into the heating area and contained.

The primary applications

  • Insulator on top of a pizza or bread oven dome
  • Behind a firebox firebrick wall
  • Under the sub hearth or firebrick for an oven

A single fifty-pound bag of Insul-Cast will cover ~6 square feet applied at 2 inches thick. Recommended application is 2-3 inches in thickness cast or troweled into place.
