Product History:
League:?Federal?League
History:?Seeking another franchise in the lucrative New York metropolitan area market, the Federal League decided to move the champion Indianapolis team to New York. Blocked from playing in Manhattan by the Giants and Yankees, the Peps settled in Newark, NJ, although their park was actually across the Passaic River in suburban Harrison (now the site of Red Bull Arena, home of the New York Red Bulls). After the demise of the Federal League in 1915, no major league baseball games were played in New Jersey again until 1956, when the Brooklyn Dodgers played seven home games in Jersey City.
