Canadian Huron Snowshoes

Made of white ash and rawhide webbing, this vintage pair of Huron snowshoes has leather bindings with metal buckles. The label on one of the snowshoes is original. Huron snowshoes are attributed to the Huron people of Canada, commonly found in the St. Lawrence region. They have long tails, which aid in walking a straight line in the snow.
