When Wally Schirra orbited the Earth six times on the Mercury-Atlas 8 mission in 1962, he made the Speedmaster CK2998 the first Omega worn in space. Part of his mission was to photograph cloud patterns and geological features, and this is represented in this fine art print by Julie Kraulis. In addition to the composition inspired by the views Schirra would have seen from orbit, the time on the watch is set to 7:23 in honor of his birth year, while the subdials are set to 9:13:15, the length of the mission. The artwork is printed to the highest industry quality using archival Epson inkjet pigments on 100% cotton rag Epson Signature Hot Press Bright paper which is hand-cut to size. A limited edition of 50, every print is numbered and signed.
